COVID-19 Policy

WELCOME BACK TO CASCADES THEATRE!

As we reopen, we are committed to the safety of our patrons, staff, and volunteers.

PATRON SAFETY

Please know that Cascades Theater will continue to coordinate with relevant public and private authorities and will monitor and adjust as necessary to COVID-related safety measures.  Our facility safety plans are consistent with the safety practices recommended by the Centers of Disease Control for operating public spaces during the COVID-19 pandemic.

OUR SAFETY PROTOCOLS

Howard Huskey, Executive Director, has been certified in a training course in safety and preventive measures with an emphasis on SARS-CoV-2/COVID 19.  Below are the practices Cascades Theatre has implemented to ensure the safety of our guests.  All staff and employees will undergo daily health screenings including temperature checks where mandated.  All employees and volunteers will be required to wear masks.

FACE COVERINGS

While there have been rapid improvements in the COVID-19 case rates, increasing vaccination rates, and recent CDC guidance that vaccinated people no longer need to wear masks, this theater will continue to require masks upon entering the theatre and to keep masks on during a performance.   Masks may only be removed while eating or drinking for a short period while seated in the auditorium.  Staff and volunteers will monitor the lobby and auditorium to remind our patrons of our policy and will continue to do so throughout each performance as a standard practice.

VACCINATIONS

Cascades Theatre highly recommends being vaccinated against the COVID-19 virus.  We respectfully request that you stay home and do not enter the theatre if you have been feeling ill, have any symptoms of any kind, have been exposed to an ill person, or have not fulfilled the proper quarantine time if you have been exposed. If you would like to be tested, you may book an appointment with Curative.com in the Old Mill District.  They offer COVID-19 testing in a mobile testing van in the west side parking lot next to the Schwab Amphitheater.   PCR test results are delivered electronically within 24-48 hours. Rapid antigen test results are delivered electronically within 15-30 minutes. Register for your free test at Curative.com.  Walk-ups are also accepted. Additional testing options are available.

AUDITORIUM

The auditorium is sanitized twice each day and there are sanitation stations throughout the theatre, the lobby and bathrooms.  Facility capacity will be reduced when required by state or county mandate.

REDUCED SEATING CAPACITY

Seating capacity within the auditorium will be reduced when required by the state or county mandate.  At the current time there is no requirement to reduce seating.

PURCHASE TICKETS IN ADVANCE

Patrons have the ability to purchase tickets in advance at cascadestheatrical.org so there is no long waiting in line.

PLEASE NOTE: An inherent risk of exposure to COVID-19 exists in any public place where people gather. COVID-19 is an extremely contagious disease that can lead to severe illness and death. By entering the Cascades Theatre’s facilities, employees and patrons voluntarily assume all risks related to exposure to COVID-19.
