CHARACTERS
Don “Donny” Dubrow: The proprietor of a junk shop who acts as the play’s protagonist. He is a middle-aged, somewhat paternal figure who believes he was cheated on a business deal (a buffalo-head nickel) and plots to steal it back. He is trying to maintain his authority and sense of honor, often acting as a mentor to Bobby.
Walter “Teach” Cole: Don’s volatile, paranoid, and insecure friend who inserts himself into the robbery scheme. Teach is aggressive, uses foul language constantly, and frequently attempts to exclude Bobby from the robbery, seeking to prove his own superiority and toughness.
Bobby: The youngest character, a struggling addict who acts as a “gopher” or errand boy for Donny. He is gullible, dependent, and eager for approval, yet he remains deeply loyal to Donny, despite being attacked and distrusted by Teach.
