It’s 1934, and Shakespeare’s most famous fairies, Oberon and Puck, have magically materialized on the Warner Bros. Hollywood set of Max Reinhardt’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream. Instantly smitten by the glitz and glamour of show biz, the two are ushered onto the silver screen to play (who else?) themselves. With a little help from a feisty flower, blonde bombshells, movie moguls, and arrogant “asses” are tossed into loopy love triangles, with raucous results. The mischievous magic of moviedom sparkles in this hilarious comic romp.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

Sandy Silver – Director<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In the 1930s, the talkies discovered Shakespeare in a big way. Four significant movies based on Shakespeare were made within a span of four years: The Taming of the Shrew, starring Douglas Fairbanks and Mary Pickford, As You Like It, starring Lawrence Olivier and Elizabeth Bergner, Romeo and Juliet, starring Leslie Howard and Norma Shearer, and the subject of this play, A Midsummer Night\u2019s Dream, directed by Max Reinhardt in which the original Oberon and his sidekick Puck find themselves not only on the Warner Brothers soundstage where the movie is being filmed, but they have been cast to play themselves!
I have had a blast working with this outstanding cast and my being given the opportunity to bring our audiences an evening of laughter.

Charlie Thiel<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Charlie\u2019s addiction to theatre continues to grow. He\u2019s had the fun of playing a pirate, a professional wrestler, a cross dressing mermaid, a British nanny, a butler, and lots of others. Most recently he got to perform with his daughter in The Wizard of Oz. He is grateful to get the opportunity to work with such a hilarious and talented cast and to learn from the awesomeness that is Sandy Silver.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

Giancarlo Caccamo<\/p>\n\n\n\n

is delighted to return to the theater and CTC in Shakespeare in Hollywood. Previous work with the company was in 2009 for The Mousetrap where he portrayed the enigmatic Mr. Paravicini. He would like to thank family and friends for all their support and encouragement in pursuing artistic aspirations.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

Ed is over-the-top enthused to be FINALLY seeing this production take flight after two long arduous years of delay brought about by the COVID fallout. He hopes we all can rediscover and enjoy the company of one another as we gradually re-emerge and retake our community in the form of providing an evening of pure delight and entertainment, where we can freely laugh out loud again and go home with a warm feeling in our hearts. You may have last seen Ed in \u201cThe Curious Incident of the Dog in the Nighttime\u201d but if not, that\u2019s OK. Tom Kelley<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Tom Kelley is thrilled to join this pandemically persistent cast of fabulous Central Oregon performers to bring a few \u2026 well \u2026 many, laughs to our audience. Acting has always been one of his loves. Many shows in high school and twelve roles in the last eight years bookend a 40 year role as a HS Chemistry teacher. Most recently at CTC, Tom, as Judge Wargrave, successfully murdered all 12 visitors trapped on the island in Agatha Christie\u2019s \u201cAnd Then There Were None.\u201d This is all made possible by his wonderful wife Ann who puts up with crazy rehearsal schedules and shouting in the other room as he learns lines.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

Ray Abanto<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ray Abanto has performed in many plays over the years: A Mid Summer Night\u2019s Dream playing Lysander; You Can\u2019t Take It With You as Mr. DePinna; A Christmas Carol playing the Ghost of Christmas Present; It\u2019s a Wonderful Life (radio show) playing 9 characters and many others. He would like to thank his pretty wife for her support, love and understanding! Kianna, Avery, Nic, Anthony, Lilli and Mars\u2026Daddy loves you!<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

Joshua Billeter<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Joshua has been acting with CTC for about a decade. He has been a part of numerous successful productions including \u201cAn Ideal Husband\u201d, \u201cThe Matchmaker\u201d, and \u201cMurder on the Orient Express.\u201d He would like to thank his wife Breanna for supporting him in his acting journey.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

Nathan Linares<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Nathan Linares is an inspiring young writer and actor. Who started his profession of acting when he was fifteen years old. His first show was at Mountain View high school in a play called Snow Angel and he played the part of Dan Sherman. Nathan was performer at a young age and was able to do every show that he could do. After he graduated he continued doing theater and at the age of seventeen he got the chance to be apart of his all time favorite musical West Side Story. In that year Nathan was working back to back with two theater companies. He completed a total of five shows in one year. His final show after that year was Newsies. After the show closed Nathan made the decision to take a break and then later return. Now coming out of his break he has joined Shakespeare In Hollywood and has enjoyed working with a wonderful adult cast. He plans to try making a commitment with theater again so he can make wonderful fulfilling memories on stage.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

Christopher Romero<\/p>\n\n\n\n

is pleased to perform in this comical show alongside an energetic and talented cast and crew. His most recent credit is embodying the uptight bailiff Finley and many other characters in CTC\u2019s production of \u201cMiracle on 34th Street: The Play\u201d. He looks forward to giving the audience a memorable experience and the opportunity to be a part of many more shows to come.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

Wilma Keller<\/p>\n\n\n\n

is an award winning director and costumer. She has acted and directed in several states, with several different theatre companies including CTC where she played Miss Emily Brent in \u201cAnd Then There Were None\u201d and directed the hit show \u201cMiss Bennet, Christmas At Pemberley\u201d. Wilma is a retired high school chemistry teacher. She is most proud of having the honor of being selected to take here high school theatre students to perform at the Fringe International Theatre Festival in Edinburgh, Scotland three times. She is thrilled to be playing someone who is not completely heinous this time.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

Levon Alldredge<\/p>\n\n\n\n

has been in numerous plays here at CTC, Including Murder on the Orient Express, These Shining lives, Radiance: the Passion of Marie Curie, and Spiders Web. Some of his earliest memories include being onstage. His first production was Cinderella at age 4 as the fairy God-father.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

Regan Donnell<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This is Regan’s first time performing on stage. She plays Hollywood starlet Lydia Lansing, a ditzy, ambitious actress who always gets what she wants.
Since moving to Bend in 2000, Regan met and married her husband, Ryan, and had 2 children, Reese and Romilly.
Regan’s other interests include painting, enjoying the outdoors and using her skills to bring out the beauty in others.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

A. Lynn Jesus<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Lynn returns to the stage as Olivia in this long awaited production! She was last seen as Melanie in A Dollar A Poem. Other CTC stage credits include Elizabeth (In The Next Room (Or the Vibrator Play), Cassandra (Vanya & Sonia & Masha & Spike), Veronica Novak (God of Carnage), Ruella (Communicating Doors), and Louise (The Fox on the Fairway). When not on stage you can probably find her enjoying the great food in Bend, and of course the craft beer!<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

Kay Clements<\/p>\n\n\n\n

is ecstatic to be returning to the world of Shakespeare under Sandy’s direction. Previously, Kay has performed as Claudio in Much Ado About Nothing, MacBeth in MacBeth, Richard III in Richard III, and [Adam Long\/Youngest Man] in the Compleat Wrks of Wllm Shkspr (Abridged) [Revised].<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Kay has had a blast joining the original cast of Shakespeare in Hollywood to mount this production and hopes you will enjoy the outpouring of talent that has melded this show together.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

Bruce Moon<\/p>\n\n\n\n

first materialized onto the Central Oregon acting scene as an original member of the improv group, Triage, and now says \u201cyes\u201d to almost anything! He is elated to be in the company of friends old and new in this spellbinding production. Robert Knowles<\/p>\n\n\n\n

is a new face at the CTC Theater, but is no stranger to the stage. His first part in an elementary school play introduced him to a world of unlimited characters. He continued with numerous roles in high school, encouraged by an inspiring drama teacher. Life and family came next, and 15 years went by before performing once again in the first
Shakespeare ever to be conducted on the island of Kauai with several roles in Romeo & Juliet. Robert is looking forward to bringing a smile to your face and laughter to your heart in this hilarious clash of classic misadventures.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

Raechel Gilland<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Feeling honored to add Shakespeare in Hollywood to her repertoire Raechel has been in all aspects and genres of theater for 10+ yrs. She has acted in Shakespeare in the park, Directed in children’s & Adult theater, does all ages drag and much more. A few pre-covid productions include Miracle on 34th Street, Macbeth, Evil Dead. Most recent productions are Director for Rocky Horror & Lights Tech on Murder on the Orient Express both here at CTC and is equally excited to also help bring Bare the pop opera coming soon. She hopes you enjoy SIH as much as they do performing it!<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

Gary Loddo<\/p>\n\n\n\n

moved here from across the pond nearly 11 years ago, where he worked as a specialist access, cameras and lights rigger on TV and major movies.
He has become a big part of the theater community since moving to Oregon.
He has designed and built more than a hundred sets for many theater companies and schools in and around Bend including shows like Beauty and the Beast, Evil Dead the Musical, Disenchanted, Peter Pan, Rent, Mulan, Tarzan, In The Next Room, Peter and the StarCatcher, the Little Mermaid, The Lion King, Oklahoma, Jesus Christ Superstar, West Side Story, Oliver.He is currently on the board of BEAT Children\u2019s Theater and started his film and stage set design and construction company Different Worldz. He took a turn on stage and was in She Loves Me, The Spiders Web and got a lead in the musical MammaMia at the Tower theater. Full time, he is the co-owner\/director of a program supporting adults with challenges and works one on one as a behavioral specialist. He loves soccer and writes.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

Lisa Bergren Fetrow<\/p>\n\n\n\n

is so pleased to be costuming Sandy\u2019s final show. This is the third show I\u2019ve costumed at CTC. It\u2019s always a fabulous adventure. Enjoy the show!!!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
